Throughout the Old and New Testament, family is stressed as the model for God's relationship with man. At the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, we believe that the support of a solid family is key to finding God's blessings for us in this life.
The Word of Life program creates faith-defining experiences that give students and families the chance to encounter God and grow together in their spiritual walks. We believe that the Word of Life program is a catalyst for lasting life-change and eternal impact. Please explore this section of our website to find out more about the program, current activities and how to get you and your children involved in the program.
Our weekly Word of Life program takes place on Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. During this time we serve the children a light meal, have a song and game time, teach the Word of God in large groups and most importantly we discuss the application of God's word to their everyday life in a small peer group setting.
Every 5 to 6 weeks we host a family night where we invite parents to come, hear about their child and the program, and discuss the Word of God with our Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Harsh. We do not limit parents from coming any other time - we understand how important it is to a parent to know what their children are being taught and to know just how they are ministered. Parents involvement is always encouraged in any of our youth programs.
The next Word of Life Family Night is scheduled for February 13th, 2019. Parents are encourage to come and have a light supper with their children and then stay for a program tailored specifically for the parents/guardians.
It is a new year, and so we are requesting each family complete an Emergency Contact and Permission Form for their children. This can either be done online (by pressing the button provided below and completing the information) or on paper (click HERE to download the form).
